FAQ — the plain answers

Everything players, parents and partners ask about GameAdays: how the season runs, how the two prize systems differ, what playing costs, and how winners get paid. Last updated for Season 1 (10 November – 20 December 2026).

What is GameAdays?

GameAdays is Nigeria’s competitive season platform for mobile football gaming. It runs structured DLS (Dream League Soccer) and eFootball tournaments, a fantasy squad game scored by real weekend football results, live standings, and a WhatsApp-native community. It was founded by Muktar Oyewumi and launched on 7 September 2026.

Is GameAdays free to play?

Yes. Creating an account is free, community challenges are free to host and enter, and the Preseason 1 cups are free entry. The Season Pass (200 coins, once, for the whole season) is only needed for the official Season 1 leagues — and coins can be earned in-game, so paying cash is never compulsory.

When does Season 1 start and end?

Season 1, called Show Ya Skill, runs from Tuesday 10 November to Sunday 20 December 2026. The full fixed calendar: Preseason 1 joining opens Thursday 29 October, the DLS preseason cup runs 29–31 October, the eFootball preseason cup 1–3 November, champions are presented 4–8 November, the sponsor is revealed 9 November, kickoff is 10 November, six Saturday gameweeks run 14 November to 19 December, and the finals plus the Grand Opening purse reveal land on 20 December. Season 2 opens 26 January 2027. Every page on this site agrees with that calendar.

How many gameweeks are in Season 1?

Six. The squad game scores every Saturday from 14 November to 19 December 2026 (14, 21, 28 November and 5, 12, 19 December). Squads lock at Saturday noon, before the first kickoff of the weekend. The official tournament brackets follow their own stage calendar — qualifiers, quarterfinals, semifinals, then the finale week.

How do prizes work on GameAdays?

There are two separate prize systems. Competition prizes are fixed before a cash tournament begins: hosts are verified clear to pay first, and the prize is locked before the bracket is drawn — entry fees never pay winners. The Season 1 finals purse is a different mechanism: it is funded by the organizers (the house), its figure is not fixed today, and it is revealed at the Grand Opening finals on 20 December. No escrow is claimed for the purse. Preseason 1 plays for glory: badges, the captain candidacy, protected Season 1 seats, and a special ₦30,000 gift-card reward shared by one influential finalist and one runner — no cash purse, no entry fee.

How do winners get paid?

Winners are paid to the WhatsApp number on file, within 72 hours of a final, by gift card or bank transfer (the winner’s choice). Every payment is recorded publicly so the community can see it landed.

What stops cheating in tournaments?

Every match result is reported by both players with a screenshot. Agreed scores pass; conflicting scores freeze the match for review by the organizers. Cash events need accounts that are at least 14 days old, one account per phone, and a reachable WhatsApp number. Big finals also require a screen recording of the deciding match. The referee’s decision is final and lands in your permanent record.

Which games does GameAdays host tournaments for?

Two: Dream League Soccer (DLS) and eFootball, on mobile. Both games run their own cups and leagues inside every season, with separate tables and separate champions. We do not host FC Mobile.

How do I join GameAdays?

Register at gameadays.com.ng with a username, a password and your WhatsApp number — registration is free. The community lives in one integrated WhatsApp group (DLS and eFootball rooms inside it); you can join it instantly from the Community Rooms page. Preseason 1 registration also happens inside the community when joining opens on 29 October.

What is the Season Pass and what does it cost?

The Season Pass unlocks the official Season 1 leagues (Show Ya Skill) for the whole season. It costs 200 coins — ₦2,400 if you buy the coins at the current ₦12-per-coin rate — though coins can also be earned through bounties, promotions and activity, so cash is optional. Registration itself drops 25 free coins in your wallet. Preseason cups and community challenges never need the pass.

How much do GameAdays coins cost?

₦12 per coin, and you can type any amount you want from 50 coins up — the naira price calculates itself before you pay. The ₦12 rate carries the payment processing charges and tax, so the number you see is the number you pay. Payment runs through Paystack: card, bank transfer, USSD or mobile money. Coins land the moment payment clears, and a failed payment never deducts anything.

What does the GameAdays shop sell?

Presentation, nothing else. Card skins (Match Night, Blackout), avatar frames (Neon, Gold), nameplates (Locked In), the Stadium Night profile banner, the Stadium Lights profile effect, the Signature Player Card, the limited Season 1 Collection, and the VIP Access Card. Every price is in naira and checkout runs through Paystack. Nothing sold in the shop wins a match: no ranking points, no easier draws, no badges you did not earn. Your record is earned. Your style is yours.

What is the VIP Access Card?

A ₦5,000 one-time card that opens the VIP room — a private WhatsApp space for selected GameAdays members with early access to special opportunities, VIP updates, private discussions and selected GameAdays activities. After payment clears, your invitation arrives inside a sealed gift box on this site: you open the box, the invitation shows for one hour, then it seals itself so it cannot be passed around. Your VIP seat itself is permanent; if you miss the window, the team re-adds you on WhatsApp.

Can I get a refund on something I bought in the shop?

Shop items are digital goods delivered the moment payment clears, so they cannot be returned once granted. If a payment ever completes without the item landing, the Restore purchase button on the shop page re-verifies it with Paystack and self-heals — no admin needed. Anything you buy is presentation only and never affects your competitive record.

Can I host my own tournament on GameAdays?

Yes. Any player can host a community challenge for free — set the game, the bracket size, the rules and the prize. Hosts who want a cash prize must pass verification (clear to pay) before the challenge is listed, and hosts keep 100% of the prize money they fund: the platform takes zero percent.

Who can sponsors and partners talk to?

The team is reachable directly — WhatsApp is fastest, then X, then email; every door is a tap away in the footer of this site and on the contact rows across our pages. The partners page explains what sponsors give, what they get, and exactly where every naira lands — three doors, from a named qualifier week to the title sponsorship of the whole season.

Still with a question?

The team answers fastest on WhatsApp — one tap, no number to type:

The community itself lives in one WhatsApp group — DLS and eFootball rooms inside it, joinable any time.
